Mr. Leahy
Attorney
Alan J. Leahy's education includes international and comparative law at Magdalen College in Oxford, England and graduation from UCLA with emphasis in employment law and related litigation. Alan has over 15 years of extensive experience in working with the California Department of Fair Housing, EEOC, HUD and the private sector providing advice and guidance on a wide variety of personnel issues including education of employees and complex employment contract disputes. Mr. Leahy also has an outstanding record of success in resolving matters whether through litigation or negotiation for employers involving allegations of harassment, discrimination and retaliation. Alan is from The Leahy Law Firm APC in Claremont California where he resides with his wife and family.
Mr. Banuelos
Of Counsel
Omero Banuelos, Esq., brings a wealth of legal expertise to his role as Counsel at The Leahy Law Firm, APC, specializing in information governance and litigation. With a background advising Fortune 100 companies on information management, he has developed robust governance programs for corporations both domestic and international. Prior to his tenure at The Leahy Law Firm, Mr. Banuelos served as an attorney at Rimon, Howett Isaza Law Group, focusing on corporate compliance and various litigation matters, and also gained valuable experience as in-house counsel at American Apparel, Inc. He holds a B.A. in Political Science with a Business Administration Philosophy specialization from UCLA, and a J.D. from UCLA Law School, where he was actively involved in student organizations and legal publications.
Currently serving as a Mediator for the Los Angeles County Superior Court and the Community Association Institute of Los Angeles, Mr. Banuelos specializes in resolving civil disputes, particularly in community association, real property, employment, and business litigation. His notable achievements include representing global retailers in discrimination and class action litigation, advising on wage and hour compliance, negotiating employment agreements, and providing legal counsel on international information governance programs. His expertise extends to developing records retention schedules, electronic communication policies, and navigating regulatory compliance matters on a global scale.
Brian Cullen
Of Counsel
Michael “Brian” Cullen has been called a “One-Man Community Service Organization” by former employees, clients and other barristers who often don’t quite understand his motivation to work so hard for struggling clients. His colleagues believe it is fun for him; his employees think of it as therapy for him, but Brian feels that each person who contacts his office truly needs legal advice to resolve some conflict that only a legal professional can do. Every client is very important to Brian, and he and his staff pay particular attention to their clients’ issues so that the smallest detail is not overlooked.
Brian is not only a hard working attorney but also a loving husband and devoted father. He enjoys camping and rock climbing with his family and has traveled all over the world pursuing his hobby.
Sunny O’Bryan
Legal Secretary
Sunny O’Bryan joined the Leahy Law Firm, as a legal secretary in October 2015. Sunny is one of the welcoming colleagues you meet when you visit our office. She is responsible for working with both new and current clients. She provides office management and client hospitality, in addition to assisting the firm’s attorneys by handling central administrative functions. Sunny provides support in the key functions of client communications, events, marketing activities and materials, and community relations.
Prior to joining The Leahy Firm, Sunny gained experience in the legal field during her tenure at The Rivas Firm in Ontario, where she worked as a legal assistant, where she supported the team by drafting documents, managing calendars, providing reception duties and supporting the attorneys and office administrator. Sunny is presently enrolled at Mt. San Antonio Community College, taking her general studies. Sunny enjoys hiking and spending time with her family and friends.
Araceli (“Arcie”) Cabrera-Rios
Paralegal
Araceli (“Arcie”) Cabrera-Rios joined The Leahy Law Firm, APC as a paralegal in November 2016. Over the past 20 years, Arcie has gained experience in various aspects of law, including, trust and estate litigation, family law, and criminal Law.
Prior to joining The Leahy Law Firm, Arcie worked for Albertson & Davidson, LLP, where she was assigned to case manage all conservatorship and estate managing cases. Prior to joining Albertson & Davidson, Arcie was employed at Covington & Crowe, where she gained experience in the area of Wills and Trusts, under the supervision of attorneys, she assisted with the drafting of wills and trust.
Arcie earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology at Cal Poly, Pomona. Arcie grew up in Rancho Cucamonga and now lives in San Bernardino, with her husband, and her two children.
